Media Accreditation Guidelines: -
For 2007, The Legend Electric SMC Stages would like to make it known that it has taken action to redress the problems caused by excessive Hobby Photographers signing on as bona fide professional Media in order to make financial gain from the rally. Or, as is more commonly the case, to gain free access to the stages and other locations under the guise of professional "Media". We received several complaints from marshals last year in this regard.
As such, the following guidelines will be enforced for the 2007 event: -
Media Accreditation will ONLY be available to people who meet the following criteria: -
No discussion will be entered into. If you do not meet the criteria above you should not make the effort to apply under any circumstances as you will not be accepted. A list of accepted people will be held by the Organisers - if you are not on the list - you will not be accredited for the event.
Successful applicants will be in receipt of a pass that will allow them access to the stages, along with stage information. Please note - Stage Commanders and Marshals will be briefed to move those who do not have such a pass on their person during the event to a safer location, where required.
Finally - if you attending the event to take photographs, please DO NOT wear Media tabards if you have not signed the MSA Disclaimer on event. You are personally liable for any damage or injury suffered by you on the event - and NOT the organisers!
Thank you for your co-operation. If you do meet the criteria listed above, then please register your interest and provide proof of MSA or Championship accreditation at least SEVEN days prior to the event with Mark Wilkinson - Rally Secretary. Contact him at mark@stockportmc.co.uk or telephone 07879 657 580 (but not after 9pm please).
